Gina Fergione

CHOIR DIRECTOR

In 2007, Gina set up the Community Choir at the St Joseph’s Hospice, Mare Street, London. They rehearsed every Thursday evening (up until the day before the Pandemic) and performed regularly in and around the Hospice. They have performed in the Southbank Voices for Choirs Festival,  the Tower of London, collaborated and performed with the London Sinfonietta, the Well Street Festival, the Union Chapel, the London Marathon, St. Anne’s Care home, Sutton House and many venues around London. The choir has raised funds for many charities and emergency world disaster campaigns. The choir has resumed weekly rehearsals.

In 2014 Gina rescued a choir on the brink of extinction. The Silver Songbirds. They perform popular and musical songs from the 1900’s. Together with the St Joseph’s Community Choir, they were invited to sing in the Armouries in the Tower of London on February 12th 2018. Here they sang a programme of Tudor music. In 2023 the choirs, now merged, perform on the new music programme at the Royal London Hospital. In the same year, they were also invited to perform at the AGM for the London Catalyst, a charity to help the disadvantaged.

Gina also works with the Heart Failure Group, the Breathe Easy Group, the Day Hospice and the Neurological Support Group.
